Working to continually improve the health care system there are three aims that are required and must be implemented simultaneously. A triple aims that has an impact on the cost decisions in managed care are; improvement of the experience of care; amending the health care system as it relates to communities, and reducing per capita costs of health care. Appropriate integration of these three rolls known as the â€Å"triple aim† are five components of evaluation: partnership between providers and those receiving care, redesigning of the primary care system, expansion of the population health management, identification of financial management, and integration of the macro system. Reaching a system that provides quality care with a decrease in cost is technical by nature, but unfortunately influenced politically. One of the goals in managed care in relation to the triple aim is the development of care for individuals that will allow them to expand and thrive. â€Å"In the aggre gate, we call those goals the â€Å"Triple Aim†: improving the individual experience of care; improving the health of populations; and reducing the per capita costs of care for populations,† (Berwick, Nolan, Wittington, 2008, p. 759). By balancing this form of an advanced system the society would see a continual improve the cost impact of managed care. The overall advancement of managed care in which there is a significant impact on cost is of cultivating interest to health care leaders.
